Katie B
Katie is a fun-loving person with a passion for animals.  She has owned and
cared for many different types of animals including:  dogs, cats, rabbits,
chinchillas, ferrets, hamsters, iguanas, birds, and horses.  She knows how
hard it is for owners and pets to be separated.  Therefore, she strives to do
what it takes to make a pet comfortable and an owner at ease while they are
away.

Katie’s pet-sitting experience began as a child when caring for a neighbor’s
dog while they were out of town.  During high school, she worked at a
boarding stable.  It was not uncommon for people to ask her to exercise and
care for their horses if they were too busy to come or if they were out of town.
In college, Katie continued to pet sit and house sit for co-workers and
others.  Katie now has many returning clients in the Parkville and North
Kansas City areas.

Katie’s experience with horses began at the age of 3 when she first rode a
horse on her grandfather’s farm.  The love and awe she felt when she was
little has only grown.  The love of horses compelled Katie to buy a 2 year old
gelding when she was 16 and to learn to train horses.  She worked at a
boarding stable in high school, and is familiar with many types of riding.
Katie rode her horse, Peanut, in the local parade in high school.  She also
took Peanut and Duney on week long trail rides in Southern Missouri during
the summers.
